I have started this blog for two reasons. 

One is to chronicle my gaming in a more structured manner. Previously I have done some Twitter threads from some of our campaign games. Nothing wrong with that, but it is hard to find old posts, hard to link to them and not everyone uses Twitter.

The second reason is as an online hobby diary for various projects. Both as a way of seeing progress and to make it easier to find notes on how things where done, paint recipes, etc.

In 2021 we played through the excellent Operation Martlet campaign from Too Fat Lardies. We had great fun and have decided to give it another go now in 2022, this time switching sides with me playing the British and my opponent the Germans. Final attempt at St Nicholas, June 27th, 04:00

Having again taken the German Hauptkampflinie at Fontenay, the British strike (again) at St Nicholas farm. Will they be successful this time?  The view from the British lines... ... and from the German lines. This is the 11th and last battle in our  Operation Martlet campaign . The British have received replacements and are more or less att full strength. The Germans are just a few men short. If the British are successful it will result in a Minor Victory for the Germans in this campaign, otherwise it will be a Major Victory. This will have effect on the upcoming Scottish Corridor campaign, so how this battle goes has an effect on the German advantage in that campaign.
